wee drum | ages 2-4 with adult

Students and parents learn to play together in our hands-on percussion & drumming class specifically designed for the youngest drummers. Everyone loves drums, but we especially love using drums as the vehicle to help children develop important life skills like sharing, patience, listening, and focus.

Explorations in Rhythm | ages 5-7

Structured similar to a general music class, students are given an engaging, hands-on introduction to the wide world of percussion and rhythm from across the globe. These exploratory classes are an excellent opportunity to test the waters before making a greater commitment to lessons and performing ensembles. No prior experience or instrument purchases required.

drum stories | ages 5-12

This exciting *NEW* class combines the creativity and imagination of reading and storytelling with music and percussion! Students bring books to life with percussion and performance while learning about authentic percussion instruments from around the globe. This hands-on class allows students to participate in the creative, decision-making, and performance process from start to finish. (And shhhhh… they’ll be reading and writing, too!)

total percussion | ages 8-12

Students will begin, or continue their exploration of the wide world of percussion, including the percussion instruments that drive and color the orchestra, melodic instruments such as marimba, xylophone, glockenspiel, and a wide array of traditional percussion from around the globe. With an emphasis on reading, writing, and playing music together, this course builds upon previously learned skills in Wee DRUM and Explorations in Rhythm, and prepares students to advance into Private Lessons. No prior experience or instrument purchases required.

DRUM Set Experience | ages 8-12

This class is perfect for students who are interested in drum set, but have never had the opportunity to take formal classes. Students will get an introduction to the drum set; playing, practice, care, & maintenance. No prior experience or instrument purchases required.

DRUM tech | ages 13-17

*NEW* Designed for older students (13-17 yrs). We’ll harness the power of technology for good when students learn about programming & recording their own music for performance and practice. Also, video & multi-track audio recording and editing.
